Graco 390 vs 490 vs 595

I would like to discuss the current range of small Graco Electric Sprayers.

Lets consider that all these units have exactly the same pump!
However they all feed a different tip size.... so these units are sold at increasing cost.
I do admit that the 390 has an old fashioned pressure control, but so what, it works!
How many of you actually use the electronics on the smart control?

Back to the point.... if you think about it, the repair cost for all of these units will equate to the same or very close. And by buying the more expensive unit you are not buying much more than a pump that cycles faster to deliver the extra volume. As engineering is always a trade-off that gain will result in accelerated wear on the pump.

If you ask me, I would say buy the 390 (or 490/495 if you want the smart control) if you want an ST Max otherwise spend the Extra and start with an Ultra Max 695.
